One of the biggest differences between consistent golfers and those struggling with their swing is understanding how the club should move through the ball. A lot of golfers get stuck trying to swing massively from the inside, leading to big hooks, slices, or weak scooping motions.

The Fix: The Wall Drill

Here’s a simple drill to fix your swing direction and start hitting straighter shots:

  1. Grab an alignment stick and place it on the ground, simulating a wall.
  2. Take the club straight back along the stick, avoiding a flat or overly inside backswing.
  3. Turn your body through the shot, allowing your arms to release naturally.
  4. Feel the motion like throwing a club—if you’re coming too far inside, you’ll be forced into a scooping action.

Start with half swings, focusing on keeping the club straight back and straight through. Work up to full swings once it feels natural.

This drill helps you groove a more neutral swing path, eliminating those wild hooks and weak slices. Try it next time you’re at the range! 💪🏌️‍♂️
